Join us for the California State University’s second biennial Juneteenth Symposium, designed to elevate the celebration and recognition of African American history and achievement while promoting and sustaining the anti-racism work underway across the CSU’s 23 campuses. This vibrant convening will once again feature world-class speakers, evocative performances and thought-provoking panel discussions meant to inspire connection, innovation and continued pursuit of a just and equitable world. This year’s Juneteenth Symposium is hosted in partnership with Sacramento State. Register for the livestream.
Join us this Juneteenth for a conversation with alumna Congresswoman Maxine Waters as we celebrate the Black Community at Cal State LA. We are breaking the chains of anti-blackness, racism, and colonization. Hosted by the Staff Working Group for Belonging, Community, and Diversity, the conversation will be followed by a short Healing Walk and concluding with a drumming circle reflection. Let’s create opportunities to reinvent our personal and community growth through awareness and healing. All are welcome!
